Content production has slowed while a LOT is happening behind the scenes!

-T is helping me with website design! She has some experience working with School Psychologists, and she totally gets the vibe and mission of PsychoBabble. She’s been asking me about the color story, and I had no idea what she meant. Luckily, there’s this great (free) online tool that generates pallets for you. This is what I ended up with:

Initial feedback suggests that D62 doesn’t fit with the vibe, and that greens might be a more soothing choice. Thanks to everyone for your suggestions! Website should be up and running by end-of-October at the latest.

-T is going to help me with a custom logo that also works for the vibe and mission. I found him on Upwork.com, this cool site that matches up specialized contract workers and artists with people who can hire them. Neat!

-We’re welcoming our first titled staff in Wally Argus, who has been submitting some original memes that are kicking such ass that he’s become “Content Creator” with a bio soon to come on the site. His work is totally blowing up on Instagram (@PsychoBabbleLLC)and Reddit (r/PsychoBabbleLLC).
Wally studied psychology at Central College in IA with proteges who worked alongside Carl Rogers and B.F. Skinner. In addition to creating fantastic memes, he’s also a photography buff.

The man. The legend.

-Superstar student J is getting set up with a podcast of student stories to be hosted on Anchor, a free service that houses Spotify podcasts. We may be able to parlay this into an independent study project for her Journalism major. I think audiences are really going to like her unique vibe of storytelling and humor 🙂

-Website will go on to offer boutique academic coaching and mentoring services, specifically targeted at first-gen and non-traditional students from marginalized backgrounds. I have a few former and current students who are excited about this gig- there is a real need for it.

-While purging my old work computer, I found a stockpile of recommendation letters that I’ve written for students over the years. I’m using this opportunity to re-connect, send them those letters, and see if they would like to be a part of the community. Some have been really touched by the ways that I sung their praises. I assure them that I meant every word.
My students are superstars.
