If you meet *most* of the requirements (and you can afford the hit to your time and resources), yes! You should apply.
Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every qualification. Trust, LOTS of people apply to jobs without meeting every qualification. What the organization is advertising in a job posting is their “unicorn,” the rare and ideal candidate. Practically, though, these requirements can be flexible based on what you can bring to the table. Maybe you don’t know a particular software, but you’ve picked up other software quickly in the past? This shows that you are adaptable and keen to learn new technology. These are the kinds of skills to highlight in your CV, and to ask your references to talk about.
The job search be agonizing. Don’t forget all of the amazing experiences and talents you’re bringing to the table, and show that you know your worth.
